This study aims to measure the effect of money supply and the parallel exchange rate on inflation in Libya in the short and long term during the period (2015-2018), using the VECM model and using several tests including the Dicky Fuller Extended Test (ADF Test) and the Johansen Joint Integration Test.
The study found that there was only a long-term causal relationship moving from the exchange rate and money supply to inflation and the absence of this relationship in the short term.
The increase of exchange rate leads to an increase in inflation and the increase in the money supply
