Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify implementation of quality standards to special needs education teachers preparation program at Prince Sattam Ben Abdulaziz University.

Society of the study consists of all female students who are expected to be graduated in the school year (1438), from department of special education, faculty of education for females in Al- kharj, with a total number of (97) female students, (53)specialised in intellectual disability, and (44) specialised in learning disabilities.

Society of the study also consists of all female faculty membersof special education department at faculty of education for females in Al-Kharj, with a total number of (11)staff members.

So, the study sample consists of the two societies of the study.

In order to achieve goals of the study, the researcher developed a scale of implementation degree of quality standards to special needs education teachers, which consists of (87)items distributed over (8)dimensions: (goals of the program, teaching methods, acceptance policies and practices, evaluation, curriculum, ethical and professional practices of special education, field training,facilities and equipments).

Acceptable signs of validity and reliability were found which justify using the tool for study purposes.

Study results indicate that implementation degree of quality standards to special education needs teachers preparation program at Prince Sattam Ben Abdulaziz University, from female students point of view who are expected to be graduated, comes up with a total score average (2.06) with a high degree of implementation.

Field of ethical and professional practices comes in the first rank, with a high degree of implementation.

While field of acceptance policies and practices comes up with a moderate degree of implementation.

As for the the field of facilities and equipments takes the last rank, with a minimum average and moderate degree of implementation.

Results of the study show statistically significant differences over all scale fields of implementation degree of quality standards to special needs education teachers at Prince Sattam Ben Abdulaziz University,due to variable of specialisation, for the favor of intellectual disability.

It also indicate differences in implementation degree of quality standards to special needs education teachers at Prince Sattam Ben Abdulaziz University due to cumulative average.

More over, results of the study indicate implementation of quality standards to special needs education teachers at Prince Sattam Ben Abdulaziz University from faculty members point of view, in the department of special education, comes up with a total score average (2.77) with a high degree of implementation, and no statistically significant differences over all scale fields of implementation of quality standards to special needs education teachers preparation program at Prince Sattam Ben Abdulaziz University due to variable of qualification and years of experience.

The study recommends the necessity of creating a database for the graduate students in order to follow them up after graduation and proceed more studies relating theme of the study.
