Abstract EN

To raise the national economy, Algeria uses the policy of attracting foreign investment.

It legislated, in the law16-09, in the sense of the freedom to invest.

It has also granted a number of rights to foreign operators investing in its territory; they enjoy the right to non-infringement of property, the possibility of recourse to international commercial arbitration to resolve disputes that may arise between the investor and the host State of its investments, the freedom to transfer capital abroad.
