Abstract EN

This paper deals by study and analysis with the reality of renewable energies and their impact on sustainable development in Algeria.

The study aims to familiarise the fundamentals related to renewable energies and sustainable development and their relationship, in addition to diagnose the reality of renewable energy sources in Algeria, and finally to highlighte the future prospects of renewable energies in Algeria and the main encountered difficulties.

The study has reached a number of important results, including that the exploitation of renewable energies is still weak in Algeria due to the high cost of this program as well as the ence of tires with qualified expertise.

In addition, the capacity of Algeria in the field of renewable energies, especially solar energy is very large, but commercial investment of these sources remains limited.
