Public transactions are seen as vital area in which public funds, of the state, can move, and therefore are the most important source of corruption that has significantly spread in recent years.

Accordingly, this factor will nominate and make parliament to lead the process of combating the phenomenon of corruption that permeated especially in the sector of public transactions, since it is regarded as the sole representative of popular sovereignty and one of the most important powers of the state.

In this context, we will review the most important roles played by the Algerian legislature in trapping the dangerous phenomenon through enacting deterrent laws and the necessary adjustments to strengthen the legal aspect, especially in the field of deterrence criminal offenders and those involved in corruption, in accordance with the supervisory role imposed through mechanisms that are available to the parliament in supervising the activities of the government, and also its role to activate the various organs in charge of fighting the phenomenon of corruption.
