Secondary commercial education of three or five years aims to work on the
acquisition of students concepts and skills of office, computer operation,
financial work, accounting and marketing and sales and distribution, and the
associated values and behavior of professional and ethical, along with the
professional and cultural preparation of students.

So, the current research
aims to identify the concepts and skills of the knowledge economy required
for secondary commercial secondary school students and prepare a unit in
the knowledge economy necessary for secondary students to develop some
concepts and skills and positive attitudes towards them.

This research is
limited to experimenting the proposed economic unit of the economy to a
sample of second grade students in Fayoum Commercial School in Fayoum
Governorate where the researcher supervises students of practical education
in 2017/2018.

The research included tools such as a list of concepts and
skills of the knowledge economy, Knowledge Economy Unit - Teacher's
Guide, Achievement test of concepts and skills of the knowledge economy
and a measure of trends towards the knowledge economy.

The current
research was based on the descriptive method, and the semi-experimental
approach to identify the effectiveness of the proposed unit.

The research
results showed the effectiveness of the proposed unit in the development of
concepts and skills of the knowledge economy of secondary commercial
students and the development of the positive attitudes of students towards
the knowledge economy after teaching the unit.

The research recommends
employing the huge knowledge flow in the construction and development of
secondary commercial education curricula and incorporating concepts and
skills of the knowledge economy into the economic approach of secondary
school.
