Abstract EN

This study aims to clarify the critical role of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems in supporting the Sustainable Competitive Advantage of the supply chain of Manufacturing Companies in Egypt by providing a central database and information that works to bring about internal integration between the various functions of the facility, and external integration that allows information sharing not with suppliers and customers only, but with all Partners across the entire supply chain, leading to the correct and optimal use of available resources, achieving the desired quality at an appropriate cost, increasing productivity, and then increasing profits.

The two researchers conducted an exploratory study on a sample of 30 Egyptian Manufacturing Companies, using a survey form that was prepared to achieve this goal.

The results of the study indicated that the enterprise resource planning systems supports and enhances the achievement of the sustainable competitive advantage of the Egyptian industrial business Supply Chain.
