For the planning of families a great importance in the impression in the number of family's number in wasit province, on level of the environment in it) 303that it is from the important styles that take effect in umber of family's member, the study (I) refer to means of contraception and birth spacing, that depend on the explanations of field for a study in and the sources of library and depending with quantity and using lists and shapes to become easy the comparative and get summary results, the study brought to number of deduction that be most apparent that the rate of masters (lords) of families who use means refusing conceive in urban (town) of wasit province( ) against ( ) in the rural (country) and differentiated this rate according to management units, that it recorded highest rate in urban and rural in sheikh saad district with rate( - ) and it was the least rate in urban and rural of Albashaer district ( - ) and the study discovered(showed) that the rate of masters (lords) of families who depend on birth spacing in urban ( ) from total of families in urban against ( ) in rural, it showed that it isn't necessary accompany using contraception to lessen number of births, It may use to birth spacing as well as it showed that using families planning belong to the desire of the couple (parents) to lessening the number of family members,
