ABSTRACT In this work, the transformation of civil-military relations in Turkey since AK Party rule in 2002 is examined.
First, the AK Party period is classified within itself, main events and parameters of the period which reveal the spirit of every period is analyzed, Incidents such as the April 27 E-Momerandum.
the 367 crisis, the attempted coup by FETO, and the status quo pertained by Kemalists is portrayed in a holistic manner.
Finally, within this context, reforms made by the AK Party under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan is elaborated and a transformation of Turkey’s democracy is pictured.
