Abstract EN

This article aims to analyze the effect of fluctuations in the level of technological progress on economic growth in Algeria during the period (1990-2017), using the annual data of the time series of the variables studied by applying the Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model non-linear (NARDL) The cointegration result revealed that there is an asymmetric effect of technological progress on economic growth, as positive changes affect positively on economic growth in contrast to negative changes that have a negative impact, so technology is important determinant of growth in Algeria.

Therefore improvement of more funding for research and development (R&D) to encourage innovations are needed to facilitate Algeria 's sustained economic growth.
