A myth, literally, refers to any story that deals with “Gods”, which themselves, construct the core of religion.

As a theological discipline, religion encompasses ontological/existential conceptions, theological/dogmatic realities and theological references and values… Mythology provides a fertile ground where the discipline of religion was able to demonstrate its perceptions in an imaginary manner, and embody them in a practical way.

This was made possible due to the common point between mythology and religion.

This similarity between them lies in divinity.

This criterion has made religion mythological in terms of its foundation setting (time and place), the nature of its perception and its cultural embodiment.

This paper attempts to provide a deconstructive and analytical investigation to the nature and reality of the mythological imaginary of religion within its Greek tradition and frame.
