Abstract EN

This study aims to recognize government spending rationalization tools in the Algerian health system.

It is hypothesized that government spending provides high-quality health services that cost minimal expenses.

Therefore, the government was obliged to set some tools to achieve what is known as the government health spending rationalization.

The study's importance sheds light on the most important tools such as governance.

It is a controlling way that ensures corruption combating through resources optimization accountability, transparency, disclosure of financial information, financial control on the government health expenses, and applying new ways of management.

The researcher uses the descriptive deductive approach through an analytical evaluation study about the Algerian case during the study period.

Findings show the limited efforts concerning government health expending index (human, physical, financial).

There are positive signs concerning the adoption of government spending rationalization tools in the health system but numerous difficulties challenge the positive effect in government spending rationalization.
