Abstract EN

The aim of the study is to use new financial models that help predicting companies' future financial situation, through ratios based on indicators extracted from company's financial statements and the extent of their applicability in the Algerian corporations.

One of the most important and most developed models in predicting financial failure in economic institutions is the Altman model, which it has undergone several developments, most recent of which was in 2014.

In order to identify the extent of this model's ability to predict the financial situation in the Algerian economic institutions listed on the Algiers stock Exchange, and through using this model and analyzing its outcomes, the results showed the suitability of this model in predicting the risk of financial failure in the Algiers stock Exchange listed corporations
