Abstract EN

This study aimed to know the contribution of environmental auditing to rationalizing environmental costs and activating the Rectifiers of governance in economic institutions, by preparing a questionnaire and distributing it to a sample of academics and professionals in the central states of Algeria.

The study concluded a set of results, the most important of which are: - The environmental review contributes to rationalizing the environmental costs, as it works to avoid the obligations resulting from the institution's violation of laws and legislations that aim to preserve the environment.

- environmental review, both internal and external, contributes to the activation of the elements of environmental governance, as the mechanism through which the extent to which institutions comply with these policies and laws concerned with preserving and protecting the environment.
