تغيرات سعر الفائدة و أثره على تدفقات الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر في الجزائر خلال الفترة 1990-2018

Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the nature of the relationship between the interest's rate fluctuation and foreign direct investment inflows to Algeria during the period 1990-2018, considering that the interest rate is one of the most important economic indicators in attracting investors, highlighting the efforts made by the government for encouraging foreign investment, especially after the multiple crises in Algerian economy due to the perturbation in oil market prices.

The ARDL methodology was applied in order to study the relationship between variables.

The study concluded that there is an inverse relationship between the interest rate and the inflows of foreign direct investment to Algeria for both the long and short term.
