Abstract EN

Writing transformations in "the world of dams and restrictions" of the decade.

The World of Dams and Restrictions tells Al-Akkad's experience in prison nine months through a literary text that combines various literary art.

The transformations of writing within the work make it belong to more than one literary genre, such as autobiography, story, and travel literature.

The author used a range of artistic mediums in literature, such as intertextuality, semiotic nouns, flashback, and oppositional binaries.

The writer could not get rid of the role of the social reformer, so he over-analyzed the personality of the prison inmates, which made him take up a large space on the pages of the literary text.

The research is concerned with classifying the literary work "The World of Dams and Restrictions" as a "text" or literary genre belonging to the world of autobiography.
