Abstract EN

This paper is based on the speech of Arab leaders when they address their peoples regarding the corona pandemic.

This speech has been recorded in the light of the power of persuasion of such eloquent speech, as it has occupied the space of linguistic communication at the present time among the countries' leaders in the world, with the aim of directing the audience "the people" towards a certain matter using ways to convince and influence them.

In order for the research work to be productive, the researcher decided to apply the approach of Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca to this argumentative speech to reveal the components and persuasive skills of such speech that contributed to the success and efficacy of the Arab leaders' speech as well as its utility represented in the eloquent and rhetorical techniques that aimed at ensuring the audience's acquiescence.
