Abstract EN

The current research assumes that the question of 'heritage in contemporary literary and linguistic studies' is a central cultural question that is inseparable from the question of methodology used by Arab critics, in terms of their different ideologies and references.

Hence, the present research seeks in its main hypothesis and in its methodological procedures to analyze the rhetorical and critical monuments of the Arab heritage that are still have a creative presence in practices of the contemporary critics who belong to the horizon of Arab modernity.

It is not true that any modernity has its epistemological break with heritage.

Therefore, the current study does not aim at merely observing the heritage monuments or aspect in the blog of some contemporary Egyptian critics, especially in the second half of the twentieth century, but rather aims to analyze their critical discourses through contextualization of non-Arab critical term, forming a methodological awareness of the Arab texts production contexts and approaching new literary genres.
