This research paper approaches the flute players in Egypt during the Ptolemaic and Roman eras, where the flute players were among the most important musicians present in that period in addition to playing an exceptionally significant role in the artistic life in Egypt.

More relevantly, the research tackles the categories of flute players shedding light on their training, their role in providing artistic performances, their wages, and finally their socio-economic conditions during that era.
