The Crusades have attracted the attention of large number of travelers ,Writers and historians in the United States since decades of time Who show their visions on it as well as composed their book in this field.

The actual interest of the Crusades has started since the beginning of the Twentieth century because of the writings of great historians like Dana Monro and Jone Lamont .

This American has been enforced for the appearance of the great project of studying the history of the crusades by the successor of Lamont in Pennsylvania University Kenneth setton who was the general editor of encyclopedia of the crusades history which its issue established the modern study in the U.S.

and encouraged Keeping on the historical writing on the crusades .

The research aims at finding a compete study observe what the united states has achieved large number of books the age of the crusades as well as fields and follows the big progress in objective scientific study and the typical transition which the crusade writing has witnessed, Also it deals with the factors which made it to be in the advanced countries in this field and its foundation to emerge generation of American specialized in crusades studies who have presented Various and numerous books on it in the course of decades of the time in addition to studying the ways which it has adopted to crusades studies and enhancing its level in order to catch up with the European countries such as , France ,Germany and England in this field .

Concerning the plan of the research , it has been divided into three sections, the first one shed lights on the Writings of the American historians about the Crusades in the first half of the twentieth Century .

The second section included the Writings of the American historians in the second half of the same Century, While the third one dealt with the Writing of the American historians in the twenty first Century
