Abstract EN

The main issues of Muslim-Christian dialogue are related to two main aspects.

The first is to defend the origins of Islam as the Qur’an and Sunna and, second, to show the virtues of Islam and highlight its pillars on correct transmission bases and explicit mental principles.

The theme of “Islamic-Christian dialogue: legislative issues of legislation” addresses some of the issues that give rise to discussion between the two sides of the dialogue.

The first part deals with the issues of modalism limited to two main basics; the authenticity of the Koran that addresses the Christians’ claims about the validity of the Holy Quran while another tackles the Prophet’s prophecy in both; prophecy of the messenger Muhammad peace be upon him in the Scriptures and material miracles between the Prophet Mohammed and all the prophets (peace be upon them) in religious books.

The second part deals with the legislative issues contained in the Islamic-Christian dialogue limiting itself to two controversial issues; Jihad and Al Jazya (protection fee).

The former which is relatively for the sake of Allah, is linked to the intent and purpose of the fighting.

Thus, Muslims do not fight to collect spoils nor do they aspire to sovereignty over peoples.

While the latter deals with three relevant elements; the concept of Al-Jazya and evidence of legitimacy, the tribute providers and the tribute’s duty.
