Abstract EN

There is no doubt that prophets - peace be upon them - were chosen by Allah from all His creatures to be charged with the mission of conveying His Message to the people; to worship the one God, no partner to Him.

Allah privileged the prophets - peace be upon them - with qualities and blessings that were not given to other human beings.

One of these prophets; is our Master Suleiman; that Allah bestowed upon him kingdom and prophecy, as well as the miracles that raised his status.

He also privileged him with great qualities; of which wisdom was the most notable.

The Old Testament talked about the wisdom of Suleiman in more than one of the Holy Scriptures, which stated that it even exceeded the wisdom of the people of the Orient altogether, but overlooked the fact that he was a man of faith and call and that he used his wisdom to call people of his time to have faith in one God, as it was stated in the Holy Qur’an.

The Old Testament depicted the wisdom of Suleiman - peace be upon him- in a purely material way that appeals to the Jews.

In this research, I highlight the wisdom of Suleiman - peace be upon him - in the Old Testament as it was depicted in the Scriptures of the Jews.

I, also, convey what came about his wisdom in the Holy Qur’an, noting the views of commentators and scholars about the fact of this wisdom.

Then, I compare between what came in the Jewish Scriptures and what was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, in terms of similarities and differences.
