Everyone interested in Islamic religion sciences knows that the fatwa (advisory opinion) is important and dangerous alike.

Its importance pertains to the validity of the Islamic religion for every time and place which imposes on jurists to exert themselves in implementing sharia in a way that fits in with the time and place.

As a result, this requires diligence in understanding and cautiousness in implementation so that mistakes of the jurists would not be arguments used by opponents to defend Islam.

On the other hand, its criticality appears in the fact that fatwa is delivered on behalf of Allah and his messenger (peace be upon him), which imposes on the Islamic nation to qualify those who call the fatwa scientifically and combining the doctrine of religion and understanding the reality in which they are living.

Besides, fatwa should not be addressed by those who are not qualified.

A number of contemporary political novelties imposes itself on those who call for the fatwa in our time, which accompanies changes and great complications in addition to the scarcity of political doctrine in our heritage because of the marginalization that Qur'anic people have experienced since the separation of the Qu’ran and the ruler, after the end of the caliphate period as the prophet, peace be upon him, said.
