Abstract EN

Introduction and research problem: Psychological and mental abilities have received an important aspect of concern to psychologists in general and sports psychologists in particular, and they have realized their importance for athletes in different situations during sports competition, and they emphasized that there is a close relationship between the level of mental abilities and athletic excellence.

Research objectives: The current research aims to: Identify the differences between the athletes of the sports centers for the physically challenged, mental toughness, self-esteem, and the relationship between them.

Research hypotheses; There are statistically significant differences in the level of mental toughness between male and female athletes in the sports centers for the physically challenged in the Alway club in Assiut governorate.

There are statistically significant differences in the level of self-esteem between male and female athletes in the sports centers for the physically challenged in the Alway club in Assiut governorate- There is a statistically significant relationship between the level of mental toughness and self-esteem of the athletes of the sports centers for the physically disabled.

Research methodology: The researcher used that descriptive method for its relevance to the nature of the study.

Research community: The research community includes the players of the sports centers for the physically challenged affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Assiut Governorate in the clubs, (the Wei Club) who are (18- 25) years old with a total of (90) disabled for the 2019/ 2020 sports season in games (table tennis - athletics games) Weightlifting - volleyball).

Research sample: The research sample was randomly selected' from the athletes of the sports centers for the physically challenged in Assiut governorate (Wi) club for the 2019/2020 sports season and it included (50) basic samples (25) exploratory samples of practitioners of some sporting activities and their ages ranged between (18-) 25.

Conclusions: In light of the research objectives and procedures, and based on the results of the results of the statistical analysis, the following results were reached: There are statistically significant differences in the level of mental toughness between male and female athletes in the sports centers for the mobility handicapped in the Alway club in the governorate of Seut, in favor of males.

There are statistically significant differences in the level of self-esteem between male arid female athletes in the Sports Centers for.

the Mobily Handicapped in (Al-Way Club) in the Seutah governorate in favor of males.

There is a relationship, there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of mental toughness and self-esteem of the athletes of the sports centers for the physically challenged.

Recommendations: Continuous application of the Self-Mental Rigidity- Scale to the athletes of the Sports Centers for the Mobily Disabled, to determine their level of self-esteem.

Continuous application of the self-esteem scale on the athletes of the sports centers for the physically disabled, to determine their level of self- esteem.

The need for the sports' psychologist to be part of the technical and administrative staff of the national project for sports centers for the physically disabled.
