The structure of the fictional novel does not arise from a vacuum, but rather is an outgrowth of the realistic structure prevailing in social and cultural life alike.

In light of this, this study comes to shed light on the interactive process between the novel Al-Khawaja by the Lebanese writer Muhammad Al-Taan on the one hand and the external world that is bordering its production on the other hand.
