تهدف الدراسة إلى بيان أهمية الشوبك خلال الفترتين الصليبية و الأيوبية و دور هذه المنطقة في حركة الصراع بين المسلمين و الصليبين إضافة لأهميتها كحلقة وصل بين الشام و مصر، و كمنطقة تحكم في طرق التجارة بين الجزيرة العربية و بلاد الشام.
كما تبين أهمية القلعة و حصانتها و صمودها في وجه الحصار.
و تبين الدراسة أبرز الأمراء و الحكام الذين تعاقبوا على حكم الشوبك من خلال المصادر العربية الخاصة بالفترتين الصليبية و الأيوبية.
Abstract EN
The study aims to show the importance of the Shobak in the Crusader and Ayyubid periods and its role in the struggle between the Muslims and the Crusaders, In addition to its importance as a link between the Levant and Egypt, and as a region governing the trade between the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant.The study also shows the importance of the castle and its steadfastness in the face of the siege.The study shows the most prominent princes and rulers who ruled Shobak through Arab sources for the Crusader and Ayyubid periods
