Abstract AR
Abstract EN
This study aims to identify the percentage of university students who are addicted to the Facebook site and to know the differences in the degree of addiction on Facebook according to the gender variable.
We tried to find out whether too much use of Facebook is addictive or just a kind of attachment to this site.
The study was conducted on a sample of (200) university students.
The data collection tool in the Facebook addiction measure was for researchers Barazan Khalid and Omer Ibrahim (2014).
After statistical processing of the data, it was found that 14.5% of the students suffer from addiction to Facebook, the proportion of students who have a significant attachment to this site but did not reach the extent of addiction amounted to (19%).
There was no statistically significant difference between males and females in their addiction to Facebook.
We discussed these results based on as provided by previous studies on the subject.
