By the virtue of the historical and geographical link between Algeria and Tunisia, and the common destiny between them from ancient times to the modern period.

A Significant economic relations and trade exchanges were established between them during the modern period, Therefore the regency of Tunis constituted an important commercial station for merchants coming from various cities of regency of Algeria, especially merchants coming from the eastern cities, because of the geographical proximity.

And as most historical studies indicate, there were many trade caravans linking the two cities Constantine and Tunis.

Through this research, we will try to shed light on an aspect of economic and trade relationships, by touching on the most important Algerian fabrics in Tunis during the ottoman period, by identifying the most important types and standing on their characteristics and advantages.

Here we should mention: Constantinian silk fabrics and Tlemcen wool fabrics, as well as economic and social issues related to production.
