Abstract EN

Contemporary poetic writing strives towards freedom from the boundaries of the stereotyped, it formed a combination of different rhythm systems.

from here, this research attempts to study the semantic rhythm in the poem "A Modern Dead" by Amal Dunqul as a poetic construct in which the symptomatic, phonological, visual and semantic rhythm are combined in its formulation.

the research uses the descriptive and inductive method to reveal the effect of the semantic rhythm in enriching the artistic structure, especially that the rhythm has surpassed the vocal function to being a psychological signature that resembles the self-internal layout.
