Semiotic ideology considers the narrative discourse as linguistic units that carry an ideological dimension.

in this article, we seek to uncover the ideological signs produced by time in the novel as a part of this discourse element, depending on the analysis of chronological narrative sections and the extent of their impact on the ideological goal pursued by the Algerian novelist Abdelouahab Aissaoui through his novel "the Spartan court".

the significance of our research is evident in the perspective through which we approach the narrative time by going beyond the linguistic proposition, and we link it to its ideological load since it is not a neutral structure that is formed according to a prior vision.
