Regardless of all it's simplicity and austerity of construction, the Rural Mosques are considered as a symbol of the Islamic Civilization, it really reflects the living standards of The villagers and The rural residents, Those who built different houses and various architectural constructions that are harmonious with nature, They are adapted to this environment and used what nature provided for them, exploiting simple materials and modest construction abilities Concerning the building techniques and distributing the internal spaces, they relied on their own experiences, observations, and what the social practices dictates.

The rural mosques were the beating heart of the village, in addition to prayers, many other acts and functions were performed inside the mosques, this what made the villagers give the Mosques a great importance, In order to limit the architectural characteristics of the rural mosques in “Trara”, we ha e chosen the Mosque of “ Moulay Idris”, through which we will be able to distinguish the architectural styles applied in these regions, and the most important materials, tools and techniques used in these constructions by the inhabitants of the area.
