The international discourse about women's rights has been divided into two currents, one of the is a moderate Islamic and the other is a secular Western supported by a global current under the auspices of the United Nations, and the latter has become more powerful since the beginning of the last century as a result of the issuance of several international conventions on women's rights, which have strict enforcement mechanisms to achieve its goals in the ratified states without any prevarication, and therefore these international conventions can be considered as a critical turning point in the consecration of women's rights at the international level, as it recognized the rights of women in all fields, and contributed in particular to promoting them within the family, because it considers that success in the fact that these rights exist in the laws of the countries of the world will greatly facilitate the consecration of other rights.

These agreements, even if some consider them very positive in promoting women's rights at the international and national levels, but their gender implications that are based on equality, not gender justice, have made them more conflict instruments rather than they are rights instruments
