Abstract EN

This study aims to clarify the efficiency of legal sanctions for protecting the environment in Algerian legislation, and the difficulties posed by the application of many of these sanctions, whether they are management sanctions or criminal sanctions .We clarified, as well, the difficulties that limit the effectiveness of sanctions in the environmental protection field in Algeria.

These difficulties were connected to the responsibility of the moral person, or the so-called institution-building, as well as the limitation of the liability case and the method of repairing the damage.

We concluded our study with a conclusion that included the findings and recommendations.
