The French celebrated the centenary of their occupation of Algeria (1830-1930), which was marked by the organization of scientific, cultural and propaganda events that they began to prepare for in 1925, and continued until 1939.

Its various programs included organizing scientific conferences, organizing cultural and touristic, inaugurating new cultural structures and monuments, and restoring several historical monuments and archaeological sites.

Concisely, the archaeological heritage with all its sub-components was selected and used extensively in this show, that intended to glorify the French occupation's victory over Algerian people's resistance permanently, and establish a western settlement's foundation in Algeria forever by their false beliefs, and this was confirmed by the historical events later.
