Abstract EN

This study deals with the image of the Jewish in Ahmed Harb's novel "The Other Side of the Promise Land".

The novel handles three essential models for the Jewish-the other.

These models are : - The ugly/mean Jewish, presented by the occupation officers and soldiers.

- The extremist Jewish, presented by the new settlers.

- The sympathetic Jewish, presented by the groups of false peace-bidders and the Jewess escaping her fate and shame.

Through displaying the image of the Jewish in a way that differs from the one presented in the Arabic novels, this study attempts to accomplish an important aim which is drawing trie attention to the importance of knowing the other-the Jewish, the thing that contributes in knowing and examining one's self ; consequently, reviewing its mistakes and finding the suitable remedies.
