What distinguishes Al-Wahrani is the character of humor and diversity in writing, so we find him writing letters, and al-maqamat and al-manamat, and poetry, in addition to his various political, social and linguistic topics.

Therefore, we wanted to study one of his maqamat in order to extract its connotations, and to get to know this writer.

Among the results that we can come out with is that the maqama of the Sun of the Caliphate reflected the circumstances of the era of Al-Wahrani, especially in the cultural and social aspects, and the semiotic method is able to extract the semantics of the texts of Al-Wahrani, because it is not satisfied with the apparent but is concerned with interpretation.
