The study aims to identify the manifestations of desertification in the study area by monitoring the vegetation cover and soil salinity, wind erosion and sand dunes, urban expansion and the environmental effects of each aspect of desertification.

Based on available statistics and data and the use of maps, satellite images and geographic information systems, And the use of the Earth in the study area through satellite (Landsat) for the period (1990 - 2000 - 2010 - 2016) and using the program Erdas (Imagine 9.3) These evidence refers to the impact of natural and human factors of the impact of climate and soil degradation and knowledge This is due to the poor planning of land uses.

These factors contributed to the deterioration of the land and the emergence of all levels of desertification in them.

This indicates that the study area is suffering from the phenomenon of desertification.
