Abstract EN

This research studied the judicial authorities, information and intelligence tasks in Baghdad and Damascus from 1798-1914, these activities brought attention of successively Britain government and encourage to give more interest in these cities.

Especially after privileges and protection gained from Ottomans authorities for Britain citizens in the two cities.

The research has been divided into four main chapters, the first one is about judicial authorities for Britain consuls in Baghdad city, the second one is their information and intelligence tasks in the same city.

As for third and fourth chapters are concerning in judicial authorities, information and intelligence tasks respectively in Damascus.
