The myth rounds mainly about the beliefs of the ancient Iraqi people concerning the creation of the universe, the gods, creation of different universal and natural phenomena and man's creation.

Thus, it is considered one of the basic resources about the religious and intellectual beliefs for the inhabitants of Mesopotamia.

However, its treatment for many of the issues wasn't placed on objective and logical base since they, in their treatment for the issues, were always looking at them from the view of the narrator and not how and why they happened.
