The research includes the biography of al-Maqqari, who was born in Tlemcen on 986 AH / 1578 AD.

Al-Maqqari belongs to a family that has been considered as one of the most famous Tlemceniyah families, which is known for its greatness and pride.

It is emerged from its sons these who are interested in science and they became a prominent persons to follow.

Al-Maqqari studied at a large number of scients who were Linguistics, Literature scientist, jurists and historians.

He is considered as a scientific encyclopaedia and one of the most prominent scientists of his time.

He has many works in a various fields of science, including religious, literary, linguistic and historical works.

Al-Maqqari has the privilege of preserving and recording the most important era in the Islamic history.

Al-Maqqari died in Cairo in the year on 1041 AH/ 1630AD.
