The Olympic Committee's Charter requires sports associations and clubs to resort to this court when a dispute occurs.

Given the difficulty of resorting to the aforementioned Court by the conflicting parties because of the high costs of travel to Switzerland ، ignorance of the legal rules applied by the Court and the time and effort required to resort to it ، the involved parties have looked for alternative dispute resolution methods that are appropriate to the circumstances of them.
