The research seeks to highlight the applications of the principle of inferring the meaningless and meaningful words in Arabic grammar .This principle is one of the principles used by Al-Khalil bin Ahmad Al-Farahidi , the founder of the sciences of prosody and lexicon.

Among other things, the application of this principle was not limited to the fields of prosody and lexicon, and not only to Al-Kalil bin Ahmad Al-Farahidi, but also it was used by later grammarians to pinpoint the possible constructions that can be inferred in grammar.
