Abstract EN

Research in the phenomenon of linguistic following in Arabic، our goal is to follow the evidence and examples as mentioned by Ibn Faris in his book: “The following and pairing”، and study linguistic study according to their levels: phonetic، morphological، grammatical، and semantic، and the research ended to confirm the following results: At the phonological level، toning and tone appear in the follower expressions to have intentional connotations.

At the morphological level، follow-up expressions came in accordance with certain morphological formulas that did not exceed them.

The manifestations of the departure from the morphological assets in the follow-up expressions are mostly due to the observance of duplication with the word pairing.

In the grammatical level، the following expressive methods are common in expressive methods، including: Affirmation method; if the purpose of the followers was to consolidate the meaning and engrave it in the mind of the listener، and was in the nominal sentence more than in the actual، and the nominal sentence carries the meaning of proof، and affirmation by one of the tools of confirmation has increased it.

As well as the method of deletion، the deletion of the name (beginner) was common in the following expressions، and this is due to the frequent circulation of these expressions as well as to urge the listener to the realization of his mind and content with the presumption of the case، as well as the method of negation we found that most of it was with (not).

And less with (no) singles in the style of negation in the following expressions، which denies the present or what does not occur.

At the semantic level، it appeared that the following of the manifestations of language development in the words without meanings.
