The flash poem is a poetical text which has many forms which express the spirit of the age.

It is a brief creative writing.

It is also an umbrella term that encompasses various short format works which go under poetry in their essence on one hand, and the representation of text on the other hand.

The flash poem includes a complex poetic image, intensive evocative phrases that have multiple meanings, and a theatrical scene, yet it is inclined to narrative.

The flash poem has its roots in both Arabic and international traditions.

It is defined under different labels, and known to critics as a short poem which is intense, and animating.

This poem has some stylistic features, like contrast, and irony.

It is lyric dramatic, and poetic at the same time.

The present research is done from three levels: -flash poem, the terminology and its meaning-flash poem and the counter text -flash poem and poetry
