There is no doubt that the era of Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (a.

s.

) was considered the age in which the beginning of scientific revival took place.

The desire was towards conducting studies in science.

People were interested in acquiring knowledge.

The circumstances helped Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (p) to disperse what he had of knowledge and scientific treasures to the world; so he worked hard to support the scientific activity and the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

In addition, he wanted to prepare a pioneer generation open in its faith and thinking, and can open up the way for others to follow.

Thus, the era of the Imam was the founding era for many sciences.

One orientalist said “If not Al-Sadiq was the pioneer innovator in all sciences, there is no doubt he would have been in the forefront of the innovators of that time”.

Al-Sadiq was a pioneer, among other sciences, in semantics in which he gave many permissive views.

Those views represented the first building blocks for later semantic lessons for the ArThe present research is divided into two sections.

The first addresses the meanings of the Quranic and prophetic words in Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (p), and the other was the focus of the study.
