Abstract EN

Background and aim: With human evolution different modes evolved to contraception, including IUDs.

In spite of the development of science there remain negative gaps, and among these gaps are the loss of a string coil and survival within the uterine cavity (1) or move of the IUD into the abdominal cavity or to one of the other surrounding members.

The purpose of this search is removing the IUD from the soles of the uterus in an easy fast and with less pain way of the uterus, using new surgical tool Alligator (3) instead of traditional tools which called Hook or Cannula Novak(2).

Resources and methods: The research was conducted on /220/ patients.

The study was conducted in a private clinic and department of Obstetrics and Gynecology- Faculty of Medicine – Damascus University during the Period from 1/1/2010 to 1/5/2016.

The research sample consisted of women revisions complaint with the loss of a string IUD removed using a cannula Novak or Hook attempt, it was removed by a new tool is Alligator, and uppon this the results were recorded.

Results: Emphasis on the periodic inspection of the pulp through the gynecological examination and ultrasound examination.

The use of the new surgical tool Alligator IUD in disarmed, so as to relieve the trauma and bleeding uterus.

The study was conducted on women were selected after removing the IUD failure of traditional methods of the use of Hook or cannula Novak, it was disarming IUD using a new tool in the women’s surgery, whichis an Alligator(3) so as to reduce the severity and complications of uterine.
