Abstract EN

The narrator and the narratee are two major components of the narrative discourse in relation to sending and receiving processes.

Wherever there is a sender, there is a receiver, and in between there lies the narratee that connects them.

These three components cannot be separated since each of these plays a major role in the narrative act.

Thus the major interest is to approach Ishmael's Al Sabeelyat in the three narrative concepts.

The research is composed of two entries, with a theoretical one which ic concerned with sending and receiving in the discourse of this novel.

The first one is specified for the form of the sender and the receiver (the narrator and the narratee, not dramatized).

The second one deals with the dramatized sender and the receiver.

These are divided into several types in relation to characters that function as senders, and those that receive and how these exchange roles.
