Abstract EN

The study aimed at knowing the attitudes of the students of the chemistry department toward the educational and specialized sciences and to know the differences in these trends and to know the extent to which the students understand the importance of the educational and specialized sciences in their academic preparation.

The study followed the descriptive analytical approach, and used the questionnaire as a data collection tool.

The study population consisted of 46 female students of the chemistry department at Afif College of Education, Shaqra University, Saudi Arabia.

The study sample was composed of 27 students who equal 59% of the study population.

They were randomly selected from the upper levels student teachers (6th, 7th and 8th grades).

The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics that included frequency, percentages, arithmetic mean and relative weight.

Most important results include that the students of the Department of Chemistry are aware of the balanced importance of the study of educational and specialized sciences.

There are no significant differences in the attitudes of female students of the Department of Chemistry Faculty of Education at Afif towards the educational and specialized sciences.

The majority of students in the study sample see that the chemistry courses are complex compared to the educational sciences.

The researchers also made recommendations to the specialists and the chemistry professors
