Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the degree of difference between the eleventh grade history curriculum in both Palestinian and Israeli schools in terms of content and objectives.

The importance of the study comes from the fact that it determines the degree of difference between the two curricula regarding the history of Palestine.

The population of the study consisted of history books for the eleventh and twelfth grade in the State of Palestine and Israel.

The sample of the study consisted of the history books of the eleventh grade in both the State of Palestine and Israel.

Those books are used for their contribution in the stages of the Palestinian cause in the modern age and for the possibility for the comparison between them.

The study used descriptive which aims at objective, organized and integrated description.

The researcher used content analysis as a research tool.

The study has reached several results, the most important of which are: There are differences and contradictions between the Palestinian and Israeli curricula for the eleventh grade in terms of objectives and content.

Also, the ideology that deals with Palestinian immigrants may contradict Zionist ideology based on genius and expansion.

Based on the findings, the study came up with some recommendations such as, holding international seminars under the umbrella of international institutions to discuss the effects resulting from what is taught to young people in Israeli history books concerning Palestine and the Palestinian people as denying its existence and identity and consider Palestine the land of Israel which god gave it to the Jews.

Also, the Palestinian and Arab educational bodies should work on show and reveal to the world what is written in the Israeli curriculum on the history of Palestine.
