This study aimed at : 1.

Identifying the concept of self-cultivation and its characteristics.

2.

Highlighting the principles of self-cultivation in the light of the Islamic Pedagogical Ideology.

3.

Presenting the domains of the self-cultivation in the light of the Islamic Pedagogical Ideology.

4.

Specifying the means of the self-cultivation in the light of the Islamic Pedagogical Ideology.

5.

Devising a suitable pedagogical form in order to benefit from the self-cultivation nowadays.

The researcher followed the descriptive qualitative method of content analysis.

The study concluded that: 1.

The self-cultivation is very essential for creating a straight personality.

If every individual in society is well cultivated and behaved, society will set apart from the deviation and corruption, and pave the way for construction and reformation.

2.

The Islamic Pedagogical Ideology is based on several pedagogical principles, upon which the educational institutions assume the role of guiding individuals towards achieving its goals.

These principles are as follows : 1) recognizing responsibility on the individual's part, 2) confirming to the freedom of the individual, 3) believing in the individual repayment on the Last Day and 4) adhering to the knowledge, jurisprudence, patience and pedagogical responsibility of group.

The main concern of the Islamic Pedagogical Ideology is the human being.

It works for guiding him towards faith, work and knowledge for the purpose of getting satisfaction of God and the welfare of universe which leads to the achievement of the supreme purpose beyond his existence – the fulfillment of the role of the Caliph on earth.

Self-reformation and purification can be achieved by several means: 1) adhering to the holy Quran and Sunna of Prophet, 2) striving for knowledge, 3) self control, 4) conforming to the Islamic prevention arrangements that have been set to protect human from greed and lust, 5) increasing the effort towards the welfare, 6) persisting the acknowledgement of the oneness of God, 7) seeking the divine protection of the devil, and 8) accompanying the virtuous and secluding And here are the main oneself from the wicked.

recommendations that the researcher referred to: 1.

Bringing up the young in accordance with the compliance to the holy Quran and the application of its instructions in reality 2.

Enhancing the role of the educationalists towards the young in terms of selfcultivation and guiding them towards its effective means.

3.

Enhancing the quality of the teacher's role by reinforcing the spiritual and moral sides of personality, besides the academic and professional ones.

4.

Enhancing the role of the family towards children regarding the development of selfcultivation and self control.

5.

Enhancing the role of the school by guiding students towards the domains of selfcultivation and raising their awareness of the essential role of it in their personal lives.

6.

Enhancing the role of technology and the purposeful educational media by guiding, reinforcing, encouraging all community members and raising their awareness of the benefit of self-cultivation.

This can be achieved by specializing some TV and radio programs that tackle the subject comprehensively, and by emphasizing the concept of self-cultivation and its merits
